‘Contrast Edition 3’ - The latest signature cocktail menu from Vesper’s new Bar Manager



Well-recognised for being a pioneer of Bangkok’s cocktail scene and for creating thought-provoking drinks, Vesper (ASIA’S 50 BEST BARS 2016 – 2021 & No. 62 WORLD’S 50 BEST BARS 2020) is ready to launch ‘Contrast Edition 3’ – our latest signature cocktail menu, starting from 1st December. This will also be the first creation from our new Bar Manager Federico Balzarini (formerly Senior Bartender at the American Bar at the Savoy, London – No. 1 WORLD’s 50 BEST BARS 2017). Under the conceptual ‘Contrast’ menu, we continue to explore two things that are diametrically opposed to one another and synthesise them to create a unique proposition for our discerning guests. In this latest edition, the inspirations are plentiful and all around: be it historical like “1491 / 1492” (Bulleit Rye / Talisker 10 / Montenegro / Cascara liqueur / Pineapple cold brew), literary like “Beauty & the Beast” (Appleton 12 / Manzanilla sherry / Umeshu / Lapsang Souchong / Angostura / Absinthe) or metaphysical as in “Beginning / End / Beginning” (Roku gin / Yuzu sake Chamomile / Saffron sorbet / Sparkling wine). We also remind ourselves to not take things too seriously in the form of “Tipsy / Sober” (Plantation 3 / White chocolate / Jasmine / Coconut water / Shiso / Sparkling wine). Additionally, for those who miss our past signature drinks, fret not. We also bring the best-loved concoctions like 'Dirty / Clean', 'LGBTQ+ / Male / Female' and 'Money / Soul', just to name a few, back to the menu. Classic cocktails, Champagne selection & wine list are also available for your drinking pleasure. ----

About Federico Balzarini, our new Bar Manager:

Born & raised in Salò, a beautiful Italian town close to Milan, Federico began his career in hospitality at a local cocktail bar where he felt in love with bartending. He decided to move to London in 2016 to pursue his dream by first joining Soho House’s Hubbard & Bell as bartender before furthering his career at the legendary American Bar at the Savoy (No.1 WORLD’S 50 BEST BARS 2017) as Senior Bartender. Working directly with legendary names like Erik Lorincz and Declan McGurk, Federico has not only gained tremendous experience in creating refined cocktails but also in providing exceptional service to the discerning guests. After 5 years in London, Federico is making his debut in Asia’s thriving cocktail scene and continues Vesper’s line of great bar managers since our opening in 2014.
